Single-person households drive the overseas sales of niche small appliances to soar, while lightweig

The overseas small household appliances market presents structural opportunities. Singles and people living in small apartments have given rise to the demand for lightweight and specialized small household appliances. The Korean brand Minix mini kitchen waste processor has achieved cumulative sales of over 650,000 units as of September, with sales increasing by 45% year-on-year from January to September. The mini model designed specifically for single-person apartments accounts for more than 30% of the total sales. The design of small space, high-temperature drying, and no odor precisely meets the needs of overseas solo-dwelling groups.

Domestic small household appliances enterprises have simultaneously adjusted their overseas product lines, reducing large-capacity basic models and increasing the investment in lightweight products such as single-person cooking pots, folding fans, and small drinking water purifiers. Brands like Leifeng and Delma have expanded from a single best-selling product to a multi-category matrix. Relying on high cost-effectiveness and self-developed motor technology, the revenue share of overseas has continued to increase. Industry experts say that the overseas demand for traditional kitchen appliances is weak, but lightweight and health-oriented niche small household appliances have long-term growth potential. Companies are accelerating their transition from OEM and contract manufacturing to self-owned brand overseas expansion, focusing on young solo-dwelling customers in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia to broaden their growth curves.
