What is an air fryer, and how does it work?

An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks food by circulating hot air around it, similar to a convection oven. However, unlike traditional convection ovens, air fryers are much smaller and use a rapid air technology to cook food quickly and evenly.
The working principle of an air fryer involves heating up the air inside the appliance and then circulating it around the food. The air fryer uses a heating element and a fan to circulate hot air around the food. The heating element heats up the air, and the fan circulates the hot air around the food, cooking it from all sides.

The food is placed in a basket inside the air fryer, and the hot air is forced around the food, creating a crispy and browned exterior. Many air fryers also have a non-stick coating on the basket, allowing for easy cleanup.
Air fryers are popular for cooking a variety of foods, including french fries, chicken wings, and even vegetables. They are often considered a healthier alternative to deep-frying since they use little to no oil to cook the food, resulting in lower calorie and fat content.
